Breaking news...MADE IN AMERICA has chosen its charity of choice for the 2013-14 season...

It is Bottomline of Stark County. Bottomline is a grassroots cooperative with one mission; to raise awareness of the importance of adequate diapering to the health, safety and emotional well being of children and families in order to link donors who wish to ensure access to basic diapering supplies with a distribution entity who will identify existing social service locations from which goods can be made available.

Bottomline accepts no monitary donations. They accept donations of diapers, wipes and gas cards for the volunteer van that transports the donations to charities that distribute them.   Why Diapers? A family’s access to a reliable supply of clean diapers leads to healthy communities

Clean diapers mean NO INFECTIOUS DISEASE OUTBREAKS!
Dirty diapers on the move can make us sick and spread hepatitis A, viral meningitis, and severe bacterial diarrheas.

Frequent Diaper Changes Mean HEALTHY & HAPPY BABIES!
Kids don’t have painful diaper rash, fever, loss of appetite or vomiting, herpes, staphylococci, urinary tract infections, jaundice or renal failure. Clean diapers make the whole family smile.

Clean Diapers Give The Whole Family An Opportunity to Thrive!
For example they help foster PARTICIPATION IN EARLY CARE & EDUCATION PROGRAMS
Parents need to work. Kids need to learn. A supply of clean diapers are required to attend most childcare programs.

Learn more about Bottomline at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Bottomline

At each pageant the contestant who donates the most diapers will be recognized on stage on Sunday with a special award and prize.  That's our bottom line!

FAQ:   What is a "special event" pageant? From time to time MIA Pageants offers one day  4-9 yrs, 10-13 yrs and 14 to 16 year old  "outfit of choice" according to a theme model walk competition in combination with an All America's Beautiful Babies and Toddlers contest representing 5 Supreme level title opportunities. Often they are offered as fundraising opportunities for local concerns and causes. They also can be offered in conjunction with a workshop morning with interesting presentations for adults and contestants.  Also for fundraising events, MIA's "SERVE and SHINE" scholarship program where contestant verifible "good works" service can, when offered and donor supported, allow an entrant to compete on a scholarship. If a fundraising pageant/show will open up opportunities your organization, contact MIA.

These one day competitions offer novice contestants and those still developing talent showcases a chance to take the stage and practice SHINING while proving that the pageant community is a caring, involved community.  The rules vary from event to event so check back on our website or Facebook/Pinterest pages for dates and details!
