The Venues

Venues will vary according to competition. Since most preliminary pageants are localized regional events, venues with attached accommodations are NOT mandatory. That is why the competition does not start until noon on Saturday, and the goal is to close with the crowning by 5:00 PM on Sunday. Every effort will be made by “Made In America”  to secure a venue with lodging in house or reasonably close by for families that are traveling or just want that hotel experience. Specific information regarding lodging will be made available when available.

Each venue will provide a “green room” area where each contestant according to gender will have “a folding chair/tv tray” sized space for light preparation.  The contestants are encouraged to  bring that chair and tv tray themselves.  Contestants should arrived “as ready as possible or practical” to compete with minimal baggage. Large props should be discussed in advance. Only ONE (1) adult can accompany a contestant into the “green room” area without prior authorization. No professional hair or make up trade can be conducted on site.

Depending on the venue, some form of cash concessions will be available during hours as stated. The Saturday evening “Pizza and Pals” party either catered at the venue or off site depending on pageant configuration is a separate available alternative for dinner and social engagement after the beauty competition. Price per person will be announced in individual pageant documents.

Divisions, Judging and Awards:

Please do not ask in advance or at registration about the individual identities of the other entrants in any division.  The competition is judged by a 3 judge panel under the oversight of the Director and her solely appointed "Tabulator."  Scoring rubrics are available to all before and at the pageant. Approaching the 3 judge panel or tabulator during competition or tabulation is forbidden.  Courteously approaching the Director is always acceptable!  Completed individual contestant score sheets can be requested at time of registration with the understanding that copies will be mailed to contestants within 14 days AFTER the competition. The decision of the judges at crowning is FINAL.
